1. What we collect
When you use Brisamo we may collect: the details you submit in our forms (such as your name, email, location, the practice area and a description of your matter); firm sign-up details; questions you post; and basic technical data (such as device and analytics information).
2. How we use it
We use your information to match you with relevant law firms, to operate and improve the service, to respond to you, and to keep the platform secure. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Who we share it with
When you request to be matched or to contact a firm, we share the relevant details with the law firm(s) we introduce you to, so they can respond. We may use trusted service providers (for example hosting and form processing) who handle data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
4. Law-firm listings and removal
Brisamo lists law firms using information the firms have published themselves and other publicly available sources, so that people can find legal help abroad. Our legal basis for this is legitimate interest in operating an open directory. Firm profiles are marked "Unclaimed" until the firm confirms them. If you are a listed firm — or are authorised to act for one — you can claim your profile, ask us to correct it, or request its removal at any time. We action verified requests within 5 working days and confirm by email.
5. Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected here. Questions about your data: [email protected].
This is a baseline template and should be reviewed and finalised by qualified counsel (and aligned with GDPR/KVKK as applicable) before launch.
